VCubed Smart LED Lighting

The “smart” features of V Cubed’s products can be embedded into “hybrid” packages for use in other OEM products. This can involve changes in physical form to fit the products requirements or the addition of “custom” functionality.

As an example, V Cubed have produced a specialised high power strobed IR unit for integration into a new range of Traffic Monitoring systems due to be launched by an OEM. These “VL” hybrids are supplied to the OEM as a fully packaged solution complete with housing for integration into their product.
As a result of the modular approach to the design of both the electronic hardware and its firmware in all of V Cubed’s products it is a very cost effective solution. Depending on the scale of the lighting system required, a minimum of only ten systems would be normally required to make the development practical.

Another application of a hybrid “VL” solution was for rail monitoring. The customer required four synchronised, ruggedised housings per system for both the lighting and a camera and the ability to interrogate the light source to control functionality and check health. A “VL” based solution was created with an external “sync” generating control unit which ensured that the four sub-systems functioned in unison.
